I saw my first Monarch Butterfly this year as I was walking along the path in my field with my dog. We were walking moving one way toward the back yard and the Monarch was flying quickly in the other direction to go down further in the field. I saw it about where one of my 3 large Common Milkweed patches is in the field. The other patches are a little further down in my field. Maybe it was going to check them out.
