Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/30/2018

Number: 1

In a Common Milkweed Field. Very early arrival!

My friend who actually saw this butterfly has a huge milkweed field that traditionally has hosted the first arrivals in the past. I know it seems very early, we saw them last year about the 9th of June. She thought that she saw some egg laying activity and I am totally confident she knows the difference between Monarchs and Viceroys.

June 4: She has seen two more Monarchs in the past couple of days.
