Around 5:15 pm observed 2nd adult monarch of the season. It flitted from the west, (as always in spring here) high about 20' up from the ground & continued east behind my neighbour's home coming toward our property. It slowed & flitted in neighbour's backyard where I lost sight of it. I hadn't got close enough to determine sex.
Flowers other than dandelions are just starting to bloom.
It was 23° & partly sunny with a westerly wind.
Common Milkweed has tight buds.
