Common Milkweed finally coming up in our sanctuary, the most southern portion of our property. It's about 4" tall & is always last to come up even though it gets the same amount of sun as the mw most northern area, which is now at least 2' tall!! The area is more moist which must make a difference.
In the sanctuary (as in our fb cover photo) usually 200-300 mw plants come up.
Asters, Goldenrod & Thistles are also up about 6". The first two are excellent nectar sources for fall migration. 💮🌿🏵🌾
