4:30pm--Went outside 2 backyard checking on plants but I wasn't alone. While I w checking ea. pot & watering the dry plants I heard a BC wing sound & looked up. He/she w trying 2 come 2 kitchen feeder but when I made a sudden movement he/she flew away. I think it flew straight up 2 the Oak Tree near feeder. I have trouble tracking those "straight-up" flights. Still hot 2day of 99.1 degree's with humidity 37-38%. 2 hot 2 stay outside. Our concrete around the pool stays warm at night giving us a "Greenhouse Effect". Grass is even hot 2 stand on in bare feet. Air Quality is suppose 2 B poor 2morrow. Cleaning & changing feeders & ant guard's/moat everyday. I hung a 8 oz. Frolic Feeder one day this week. I looked outside through the kitchen window & it did not look right. Went rt. back out 2 get it while replacing it. Held up to light looking & looking for mold etc. I saw 1 tiny spot. Cleaned in Clorox solution. Then the glass looked was crystal clear. Sometimes during the Heatwaves I have 2 clean feeders with Clorox sol. more than once a month. Maybe even every 2-3 wks.---Whatever it takes 2 keep them squeaky clean. I only have 2 have 2 feeder's up. We don't have that many hummers. I enjoy the ones that I can put thru top-rack dishwasher.
