I began planting & seeding common milkweed in our garden area, two 6' x 6' plots. It also contained a few flowering plants. We have an abundance of flowering trees, shrubs and other flowers around our property and have many bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and other birds utilising them.
Today, June 12, 2018, for the first time, I have found at least 6 monarch caterpillars in their first and second instar. Hopefully many more to follow.
