I saw 2 Monarch Butterflies around my Common Milkweed patches in my field while walking my puppy. One seemed to be a large female similar to fall migration size. She was flying from Common Milkweed plant to plant. It wouldn’t stay still long enough for me to get a picture, hard to do trying to control my puppy at the same time. The other butterfly wasn’t as big and slowly cruising around the Milkweed plants, maybe a male.
