Saw a female monarch persistently visiting our plot of common milkweed in our front yard and later checked and found 5 eggs. Brought them in and yesterday they all "hatched" and we have them in "protective custody" in a critter keeper box. Added #6 that we found last night. He/she had already hatched on the milkweed. Will provide them with fresh milkweed daily and hope we'll have 6 butterflies to release in a few weeks.
