Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 06/29/2018

Number: 3

Around 10 AM on this sunny and warm morning, a female monarch nectared on Brazilian verbena and tropical milkweed growning in posts on my patio, flitted all around me as I was watering the plants and laid eggs on the swamp milkweed growing in pots and in the garden nearby. First time I have seen a wild butterfly lay eggs! I brought two eggs inside to watch the larva grow.
