Saw a super-sized larva (at least 4th instar) on one of those common milkweeds with the leathery leaves with red veins.
The larva was my-nose level. The plant looked decrepit which is why I took the larva home. I can just picture Darwin turning over in his grave at the thought of someone interfering with his survival of the fittest theory. But I say that plant was bound to tip right over sooner than later. :)
