The "number seen" is becoming very hard to say. I'm seeing monarchs everywhere -- far more than I can report. This particular one, though, is an aggressive male patrolling a superb milkweed and tithonia patch by my patio, so I know there weren't many other monarchs around for this sighting. (I've also given up counting eggs. There are too many.)
