Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 07/11/2018

Number: 1

I had two "I can't believe it" events today. One concerning a frog; the other a monarch 5th instar. While watering my neighbor's plants, I noticed a 5th instar on the underside of a CONE FLOWER leaf. The milkweed plant was right next to it. The larva reaching upward like they do when they're about to pupate. I was there at just the right moment and I never ever check these plants because they're in the shade. I'll save the frog story for the frog web site.
