Monarch, Captive-Reared

Date: 07/13/2018

Number: 1

I released a female at the park today. Yesterday, should have been her release date but the storm and drenching rain prevented that. So she spent the night in an air-conditioned house. Today, after the rain stopped, she started a new life. She was quite plucky even though her new world was very humid and all the surrounding trees and plants were still dripping with the morning rain. Her first flight was a direct one -- to the nearest flower blossom.
