Number: 4

Hot sunny 5 in the afternoon. Frequent individual sightings daily this month but this the first time seen mating.Very fast darting pursuit by male, (very unlike the usual slow swaying and gliding flight) female settled on milkweed flower and male crashed on top of her. Then this moment when they caressed antennae. Then the pair flew off into the trees, the male flying slowly with the female hanging underneath. Observed to have remained in cop for at least five minutes.
