Just an observation. Last year at this time I had only found about 5 eggs. right now I have released 10 Monarchs (2 male and 8 female) and have 9 chrysalises, 101 caterpillars and probably about 70 eggs. Obviously most of these will mature and be able to mate and lay eggs here again this year which has not happened in the years I have been raising Monarchs. I am almost overwhelmed by the number of eggs and caterpillars I have found but only seen one or at most two Monarchs in our yard at any one time. Don't know if you are interested but thought I would pass this along because it is unusual.
