I don't have many nectar plants for a discerning monarch but it found my Verbena and landed on seven blossoms. Yes, I counted them; monarchs are scare in my very shaded garden. Yet, this particular monarch visited my not-blooming-yet swamp milkweed right afterwards so maybe it's a female and left parting gifts.
