Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 07/08/2018

Number: 6

Monarch butterflies seem plentiful throughout Manitoulin Island. Perhaps because there is lots of milkweed, and it seems that much of the agriculture there is less intensive, less reliant on pesticides. I saw mostly hay and pasture fields, not a lot of cash crops, although there are some, canola in particular.
