Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 07/17/2018

Number: 100

Everyday since the beginning of July we have seen Monarchs all over town. Don't even have to try real hard. Opened my garage door yesterday and a monarch flew in. Today we went on a 57 mile bike ride south of Green Bay and along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Lots of milkweed in full bloom and lots of Monarchs. Estimate 100 plus seen. One field was filled with milkweed and Monarchs. It was similar to what we see during tagging season in clover and alfalfa fields. Years past we would point out a monarch to whoever we were with or tell someone later if we were alone. We see so many a day that we don't say anything this year. It hasn't been like this for quite awhile around here.
