Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 07/20/2018

Number: 1

July garden tours are in progress in this area. The host gardeners I visited have planted swamp milkweed.

A monarch was sipping nectar from the SMW flowers, when I checked the plant at one place.

It was a thrill for the owner of the property as they had just put in the plant this spring.

I checked under the leaves and found a monarch egg, which I showed to the host.

So, a double surprise!
