Incredible day! This female descended upon my waystation, laying eggs throughout the afternoon on my tropical milkweed. I have 6 varieties of milkweed and so far I think she only laid on this plant, but I could be wrong. Later in the afternoon I saw another monarch and I believe it was the same female and she was laying more eggs. She looked very healthy. I also saw a red spotted purple.

I have collected 10 eggs of her eggs so far and had to order more supplies since I bring them indoors to raise. My mom in a different city also spotted 2 females laying eggs throughout the afternoon on her milkweed plants!

I presently have 16 eggs and 1 2nd instar indoors for rearing. This is my first year partaking in this endeavor. I have released 11 monarchs so far this summer.
