I was gathering seed pods and looked up and there she was. Quite surprised as we were not expecting to see any come through for another couple of weeks or more. Definitely a female as I have video also. She looks in good shape from the pic, but very faded on the top side, with a small chunk missing out of her left lower wing but flying around with seemingly no effort. She was very hungry as she hung around and nectared for three days. She may have laid some eggs but never saw it happen. My swamp milkweed is all very bushy, I cant even walk through it in places, so it may be a few days before I see any signs of cats.
