Redding, Ct 8/1/18. Beginning 7/18/18, some of my hummers began nectaring on my black and blue salvia whic I planted this year. Then they started including my red salvia, and to a lesser degree my rose campions, of which I have many. The hummers still prefer the feeders. I currently have 19 feeders hung, feeding about 50 hummers. Around mid July about 20 juvenile females and males began showing up. I attribute this to a very productive mating season this past spring. Any questions, you can reach me at 860-921-6575.
