Sightings report image

Date: 08/03/2018

Number: 3

Our male was here all day again, plus one other male for awhile.
At 5:40p:m a faded female flew into our yard and was on the tuberosa and flying close to the ground. Our resident male spotted her and he joined with her and they flew around joined together for a few minutes and then disappeared into a rose of sharon tree. After about a half an hour I saw the female go back to the tuberosa and looked to be laying eggs. They had been displaying mating behavior. Monarch Watch Waystation #13039
