On July 31, saw the first 6 adult monarch butterflies emerge, stretch their wings, and fly away from our milkweed patch. I am so pleased and thankful! On Aug. 1, a 7th one emerged, but was caught by a cat. Although I tried to rescue it, I don't think it survived.
