Be still my heart :) a treasured monarch caterpillar on the milkweed on the east side of our home. There's a lot of common milkweed in the habitat; but this plant is special as previous rains almost ruined it and I kept placing big plant hoops around it so it could prevail :) and possibly host larva. Lo and behold a beautiful baby monarch in progress, eating and eating and eating :)
