I was sitting outside watching my pollinator garden grow when unexpectedly I noticed a monarch butterfly flitting around. I guessed it was one of the two males I had released yesterday. However, after it rested on a milkweed leaf, I took a closer look and discovered she had left a perfect little egg! I have never observed monarch eggs this late in the summer. Way Station 9418
