Watched an adult female Monarch feeding on a butterfly bush in the Community Living Center garden for a good half hour or so before she took off heading south. Have been seeing Monarchs up close at this site for a week now. My 99 year old dad has been delighted to be so close (within 2-3 feet) Today's female fluttered around him a few times...Am unaware of milkweed in the immediate vacinity. No way of knowing if I'm seeing same male and/or female each day...the ones I'm seeing look fresh and healthy.
