Observed 29 monarchs on Saturday, August 11. Several were flying near the ground and appeared to be looking for milkweed. Most were bright and healthy looking, but one was very faded and had almost no color on its wings. Watched three of the monarchs laying eggs on A. viridis which was very plentiful. There were also good amounts of A. tuberosa and several nectar plants blooming there.
