Jody Benson reports as follows: Monarch siting 0930, Tuesday, 07/31, ~1/4 mile downhill (south) from the parking area for Pajarito Mountain’s Townsite lift.
Flying from burned area/young aspen into burned area NM locust/aspen. Temp ~75, Wind from the SSW ~10mph (in that location—lots of wind roses on the road to the ski hill). Clear except for some contrails; later that day, a thunderstorm on Pajarito Mt.
