I released Monarch Butterfly #8, a female.
I tried to release it the day before, Saturday, but she didn’t seem strong enough to fly. I brought her out to nectar on Swamp Milkweed still in bloom and then brought her back inside. The next morning, I was going to bring her out to nectar on the flowers again but surprisingly she got loose in the house for a bit. When we got out to the garden, she seemed very strong and flew off fine.
