At least 5 Monarchs were very active feeding, chasing one another--sometimes 4-5 at a time- and mating on and near a butterfly bush outside the Wilkes-Barre VA Community Living Center. They were indifferent to human presence. I identified at least 2 males and a female. This activity went on for at least a few hours. There were also bees and swallowtails around. Someone took pictures of three of them clustered on the bush and sent them in a message but I'm unable to upload them here. It had rained heavily the past few days and they seemed to be making up for lost time...
