Watched a male Monarch crawl out of its chrysalis, stretch and dry for a couple of hours, then take first flight to a maple tree. My garden is registered Monarch Waystation No. 21186. (More than 30 chrysalis remain.) First flight was shortly after 1:30 pm. Was not looking when the butterfly left the maple tree.
