Watched three Monarchs exit their chrysalises today during rain showers. Was not close enough to determine the sex of any of them. The first one crawled out about 10 am, the second around Noon and the last one about 1 pm. All three stayed in place until well after the rain ended, taking first flights between 4 pm and 5 pm. Before pupating the Monarch larvae fed on swamp, Tropical or Butterfly milkweed in our registered Monarch Waystation garden, No. 21186.
