My wife drove me to Harrisville Harbor at 2:30 PM where I observed 17 monarchs. I was able to tag 10 of them. Nine were males with tags YGN-915 to YGN-917 and YGN-919 to YGN-924. The female has tag YGN-918. I went to the end of 2nd/3rd Streets and saw 3 monarchs flying around the fields. I then went back through the town because I forgot to check my mail and observed 2 monarchs flying in directional flight southward high overhead. I went along the beach at Harrisville State Park and saw 2 more monarchs. Finally, I observed another monarch flying pass my backyard in directional flight to the southwest at 7 PM. Weather was very cloudy and humid with the temperature at 77F.
