from 10 to 11:30am on what began as a cloudy, mild morning, Marcy and I made ~7 monarch sightings at Leonora Curtin. All were males. I photo'd 5 of them and based on wing conditions I confirmed at least 3 different individuals ranging from 2 (fair) to 4 (pristine). Behaviors included basking, nectaring at horsetail milkweed, strutting about to impress females, and debating milkweed patch ownership. We saw no females.
