This morning while out on a walk (2 miles) I saw 4 Monarchs. They were just fluttering by in search of nectar. They did not seem to be in a hurry for anything. After I returned to the house, I saw a female (pictured) laying eggs on our Swamp Milkweed. The male that had been patrolling for a couple of weeks is now gone.
