Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 08/22/2018

Number: 1

Just saw "Jewel", the female Ruby-throated Hummingbird that visits my garden late summer-into-early fall each year, nectar from my coral-red fuchsia lowers, and then go on to visit my sweet "Honeybell" hosta blooms. But what she's really here for is my Spotted Jewelweed, which is just about to come into bloom. This has the extra-sweet nectar she loves! I grow about 100 of these native wildflowers every summer expressly for the hummers:-)
