I have what must be a juvie male who has claimed the lilac bush four feet from one of the feeders. He is a real thug about his feeder and rules the area ruthlessly. He has got to be a juvie but has a goodly part of his gorget colored in. He is so active I can't get a good look at his bill to get the length of it. Right now I have 3-4 females living here and have some hummers beginning to move through going South.The young male had to have been one of the broods hatched in the area.
