Collecting fresh milkweed before annual end-of-summer drainage ditch mowing. Found eggs and caterpillars at a variety of instars. Brought caterpillars to safety on potted backyard milkweed gardens. Brought eggs inside, washed their host leaves to eliminate chemicals/OE spores, will rear them in "caterpillar condos" and will tag and release as butterflies.
