I have collected 488 eggs off the milkweed in my small garden as of yesterday. I found only 106 last year. My milkweed has been mature for about 5 years. I have seen many more adults this year compared to last. I am tagging some for the first time this year. Eggs appeared 3 weeks earlier this summer and I am finding more at least a week beyond the last one last year. I have about the same amount of butterfly bush etc this year as last year. 2016 was a bad year, only 16 eggs total over a 4 week season.
I found 8 eggs on 8/22/2018.
