Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/23/2018

Number: 8

This summer has brought more hummingbirds than in previous years. They are feeding heavily now and visibly putting on weight. Besides drinking from the feeders they are nectaring from the Monarda, Fuchsia, Honeysuckle, Phlox and Physostegia virginiana (False Dragonhead). The males are still here, warring with each other, and feeding along with the females and young.
