Walking the 1 mile section of the Sandy Hook trail at Tawas Point State Park between 0630 and 0730 PM. Found several large roosts with between 200 to 300 Monarchs in each. Counted 300 Monarchs flying during our walk of the length of the trail. There were easily 1000 individuals gathering on the peninsula tonight. 76 degrees and a strong westerly wind.
