The list of things that could have gone wrong for this very tiny caterpillar is long but the only thing that mattered was that while changing out a 4th instar habitat, this very tiny and unexpected guest caterpillar fell off of a leaf about to be discarded onto a piece of white paper towel where I could see it. Serendipity for sure.
