Again, observed monarchs all day long visiting the tropical milkweed in our garden. Observed at least 3 monarchs at one time. A couple observations of egg laying for the 2nd straight day. More sightings of two chasing each other. Observed at least 20 monarch caterpillars of different instar stages. Some caterpillars appear at 2nd instar others at the 3rd instar to 4th instar. This is the second year I've witnessed Monarchs breeding in my yard in Apex, NC during the August months.
