Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/25/2018

Number: 20

This is the 2nd year I've observed female monarchs ovipositing eggs in my garden on tropical milkweed in August. The 1st time was in Summer 2014? at 2011 Keokuk Ct. Apex, NC. In fact, I was volunteering doing a monarch marking Project (Project Monarch Watch) a citizen science project and marked 2 monarchs born in my yard in August of that year. And this year in summer 2018 at 2006 Passaic Way Apex, NC. The females are very busy laying eggs in my garden. Both years, I've lived in the same neighborhood Charleston Village.
