This morning I observed a Northern Paper Wasp prey on a monarch caterpillar. I was able to get a photo of this event. This was the second observation of this type of predation. Yesterday, I observed another Northern Paper Wasp prey on a monarch caterpillar. I was unable to get a photo during the 1st observation. Each time the wasp found the caterpillar on the Tropical milkweed. I've observed the wasps actively hunting for caterpillars.
