Local summer hummers have left. Adult males left today. 2 immature ruby throated males and 3 females are now busily nectaring at several nectar feeders and salvias such as black & blue, Wendy's Wish, Ember's Wish, and a purple colored variant of the black & blue. The hummers also like feeding on orange blossomed Firecrackers. Quitting time in our yard this evening was 8:03 p.m. Migration is on!
