Monarch Fall Roost
Sightings report image

Date: 08/24/2018

Number: 2000

There were a few thousand monarchs resting in the trees at the end of the narrow point of the state park, which is a very sandy area with some shallow pools of fresh water, and a few spots of tall trees. The area is only accessible by foot, but has a 2-track road because there is a modern light and fog horn installed just south of where we saw the monarchs. I have more photos, and video.
