At about 3:15 PM on August 26, about 20-30 adult Monarch Butterflies all sitting on stalks of tall grass and the lower branches of a tree in about a 10-foot radius. They scattered when we approached but then settled back into the same location.
This is a habitat that is in the process of being restored to a prairie/savanna.
