Aug17 to now each day I see at least 2 new and old tattered adults. I have counted feeding caterpillars of all sizes on my patch of 60 milkweeds. Also i have counted 15 or so eggs at a time each day. I have watched 2 caterpillars making their J but not able to-ending with a string of slime coming from them. I have observed one caterpillar begin J and only partially able to lose it's skin. 2 Chrysilis were also noted- on day 2 of their existence a string of slime was hanging from them.
It has seemed unusual to see all three Stages of their cycle at this time of yr.
